Technical Translation
Technical translation for manuals, specifications and product documentation. Plan terminology, diagrams, file formats and document revisions with MBS-Translation.
Help readers use the information
Technical content needs to preserve how a product or process works. Identify the audience: end users, installers, maintenance staff or procurement teams. Explain the product context and the purpose of the document so terminology and instructions can be considered together.
Prepare manuals and specifications
Provide editable source files where possible, along with diagrams, screenshots and text embedded in images. Include model names, part numbers, units of measurement and an approved glossary. Say which labels must remain unchanged to match the physical product or interface.
Keep versions and terminology consistent
Identify the approved source version and separate new sections from previously translated material. If several manuals refer to the same components, provide those references together. Agree how source questions, terminology decisions and later corrections will be recorded.
Define the handover
Confirm the target languages, output formats, layout requirements and deadline. Ask whether the scope includes proofreading after desktop publishing. Safety-critical instructions and product compliance statements should be reviewed by the responsible technical team before publication.
