Subtitling & Transcription
Discuss subtitles and transcripts for interviews, training and video content. Specify languages, timing, speaker labels and delivery formats.
Choose the output your audience needs
Transcription turns speech into written text. Subtitling presents timed text alongside audio or video, in the original language or another language. Tell MBS-Translation whether you need a transcript, translated subtitles or both, and where the finished material will be used.
Share a representative recording
Provide the recording duration, languages spoken, number of speakers and a sample that reflects the audio quality. Mention overlapping speech, background noise and specialist terminology. Supply an approved spelling list for names, brands and technical expressions.
Agree timing and presentation
For subtitles, specify the platform, subtitle format and any reading-speed or line-length requirements. For transcripts, agree whether you want verbatim speech or a cleaned reading version, timestamps and speaker labels. Describe meaningful sound cues if accessibility captions are required.
Confirm the review version
Use the final approved edit of the recording wherever possible. Later changes to the video can affect timing and cost. Agree whether review will use a subtitle file, a preview video or a transcript, and identify who will approve names and specialist terms.
