Preparing Your Website for Arabic Localization

Plan Arabic website localization: inventory pages, prepare interface strings, check right-to-left layouts and agree linguistic review.

Inventory the complete user journey

List navigation, landing pages, product content, forms, error messages and confirmation emails. Include downloadable documents and text within images. Decide which pages belong in the first release and which can follow later.

Give translators context

Export source content with stable identifiers and screenshots. Explain variables, character limits and terms that should remain in English. Share your brand voice, approved product names and examples of calls to action. Translating isolated words without context can lead to inconsistent interface text.

Plan right-to-left implementation

Arabic needs suitable typography and a right-to-left layout. Your developer should check navigation, form alignment, mixed Arabic and Latin text, numbers and icons with directional meaning. Test mobile layouts with real Arabic content rather than relying on placeholder text.

Review language and functionality together

Agree who will enter the translated content and who will approve it in the finished interface. Test links, forms and messages after translation. Where separate language URLs are used, coordinate language links and page metadata with the developer. Record corrections before the release is approved.
